A production step for LSPs

Machine pre-translation with enforced and machine-verified terminology — as a supplied step in your existing workflow.

Trados · memoQ · Phrase · XTM.

The process is language-agnostic: terminology enforcement, tag parity, byte integrity and the verification report are mechanical and apply to any language combination. Measured figures exist across 10 language pairs; other languages on request.

Contact starts by email — files and quotes then run through the client portal.

Scope

I am not a translation provider for your projects. I accept no translation or post-editing assignments from clients for whom I supply this production step, and I do not work for end clients. Your linguistic layer remains yours.

01

Four familiar failure points

01
Terminology is ignored in typical MT workflows.
Here it is enforced and machine-verified; every deviation is listed in the verification report.
02
Tags and formats break.
Tag parity is checked per segment; outside the target segments the file stays byte-identical. If a delivery cannot be reimported, it is not invoiced.
03
Repetitions drift apart.
Sentence families are translated identically by construction — provably identical.
04
Segment status is wrong.
Status exactly as specified — and documented.

02

How it works

01
Intake
Files, TM and terminology arrive.
02
Pre-translation
Translation under terminology constraint.
03
Mechanical check
Tags, byte integrity, segment status.
04
Second check
Independent, against the delivery's own verification report.
05
Return
File and verification report back to you.

Quoted from the delivery report

“This is the picture your data paints — preserved byte for byte, except for what we were allowed to change: the text of the target segments, and only the text.”

— Cover page of the verification report that accompanies every delivery. Verbatim.

03

The terminology guarantee

“Your terminology is enforced verbatim and verified by machine — including your typos. That is precisely the guarantee.”

Generic MT and AI systems apply terminology statistically: mostly right, and unpredictably often not. Here it is applied mechanically, and every single occurrence is verified. The behaviour is therefore deterministic and auditable — not likely, but demonstrable.

04

Honest numbers

63.6 %
of segments survive specialist revision unchanged.
79.6 %
need at most cosmetic corrections.
5.1 %
require substantial rework.

Typical range depending on language pair, text type and TM depth: 50–79 % unchanged.

As of October 2026
Basis: 111 delivered jobs, 27,552 machine-written segments, 10 language pairs, 3 CAT platforms.
Measured on real delivered jobs in production, checked against my own professional review — not on samples or benchmarks. Every delivery is evaluated after review; the figures are updated as data accumulates.

05

Test package

A test package says more than this page.

Send one real file with your terminology. You get the pre-translation and its verification report back, and can hold both against your own standard.

Access is set up when a project starts.

File exchange runs exclusively through the client portal, never by email.

06

Data protection

Commercial API terms
No training on customer data, limited retention.
Data processing agreement
A DPA is in place and is provided on request.
Metadata redaction
Tooling to remove identifying metadata from project files.
EU processing
Processing options inside the EU on request; retention periods in detail on request.

I will answer your data-protection review directly. Ask something concrete. Data protection in detail →

Pricing

Billing covers segments without a TM match, from your own threshold upwards. Your analysis is the basis; an independent recount is made before delivery and reported in the verification report, not invoiced retroactively.
